When you sign up...
- You complete a simple questionnaire
(Answering questions we provide to provide the best
possible plan of care for your pet in case of emergency.)
Covering:
- The names and phone numbers of three people
you trust to come to your home and care for
your pets.
- The specifics for each pet, such as;
- What does your pet eat? When?
- Where is the pet food kept?
- Where is your pet fed?
- Any medications or special instructions?
- What is the routine for walks and
comfort breaks?
- The name of your Vet and their office contact information.
- Safe at Home Pets will track all
the details you provide and give them to your
pets’ caregiver when needed.
- You will receive window clings
(for your car and home), a refrigerator magnet,
and wallet cards (it is best to keep
them next to your medical insurance card) to alert
others to call our toll free number in case of emergency.
In a Medical Emergency...
- If you are injured in a car accident
emergency personnel can find our number on the car
window cling or your wallet card.
- If you are in an accident in the home
then emergency personnel have three chances to see
our emergency number (In your front window, on your
Refrigerator, or the emergency card with your medical
id card)
- If you are suddenly ill in your home
and can't properly care for your pet or maintain their
routines, one call to Safe at Home Pets and we will
work with your list of pets' caregivers and provide
them information to handle their questions so
you can focus on your recovery.
 If
You Can't Get Home...
- When you have an unexpected delay simply
call our toll free number on your emergency
wallet cards.
What Services Does Safe at Home Pets Provide?
- We take the initial call that your
pets will need care (Our Toll Free Number is Available
24 hours a day 7 days a week.)
- Safe at Home Pets then contacts your pets'
caregiver or caregivers (i.e. your emergency contacts)
until we find someone to take care of all your pets
needs.
- We then provide the pets new temporary
caregivers with all the details they need to maintain
the same routine and proper care. i.e. Medications
and doses, location and brand of food, daily routines,
Vet information, any specific quirks for each pet,
and so on.
